WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia State Police (VSP) are searching for those responsible for attempting to break into an ATV dealership in Wytheville.

According to VSP, the incident took place around 2:20 a.m. Saturday morning in the 2200 block of Chapman Road.

Initially, the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene but after those responsible ran away from the scene, VSP was called in to help search for them.

Deputies requested that VSP take the lead in the investigation.

State police canine teams are helping with ongoing search efforts.

They are also seeking information about a 2016 Hyundai sedan with Pennsylvania license plate LSG 0399 which may have been involved in the attempted break-in.

VSP says this dealership also had several motorcycles, worth several thousand dollars, that was stolen by a small group of individuals.

If you have any information about this incident – or the one back in August – or if you see the Hyundai, you are asked to call VSP at 276-228-3131 or email questions@vsp.virginia.gov.
