GILES COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A local animal shelter is asking members of the Giles, Monroe, and Mercer County communities for their help tracking down the owner of two dogs who were allegedly tossed out of an SUV in Giles County.
According to the Giles County Animal Shelter’s Facebook post on Wednesday, Jan. 20, two female dogs were thrown out of an older, burgundy Ford Expedition by a male along Route 460 East near the Pizza Plus turn-off in Rich Creek before the SUV made a U-turn and drove back toward Glen Lyn.
Even though the car’s plates are unknown, the animal shelter says both dogs should be easily recognized based on the distinctive white marks on their chest.
If you have any information about these dogs or their owner, you are asked to call Bill from Giles County Animal Control at (540) 235-6096 so — in the words of the Giles County Animal Shelter — “we can introduce this person to our Magistrate.”
