ABINGDON, Va. (WFXR) – ReVIDA Recovery Center in Wytheville is accepting all Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia patients seeking comprehensive, patient-centered treatment for opioid use disorder.

ReVIDA offers evidence-based treatment services both through telehealth and in-person at all of its offices in Virginia, also including Duffield and Abingdon.

“Affordability is one of the top barriers for those living with opioid use disorder, and ReVIDA is proud to lower that barrier by making treatment available to Anthem members. We are eager to serve any Anthem members across Virginia that are struggling with Opioid Use Disorder.”

Lee Dilworth, CEO of ReVIDA Recovery Centers

ReVIDA welcomes patients who participate in Anthem Virginia’s commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid insurance programs.

All three of ReVIDA’s locations, including in Wytheville, are recognized by the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services to provide Office-based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) services.

Each location has received the distinction of being named a “preferred OBOT.”

According to the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse, only one in 10 people struggling with opioid use disorder receive treatment due to barriers such as lack of insurance or high out-of-pocket costs.

In 2018, there were 1,193 drug overdose deaths involving opioids in Virginia, a rate of 14.3 deaths per 100,000 persons, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

Individuals seeking treatment are encouraged to call one of ReVIDA’s Virginia locations to schedule an admission appointment.
