Pulaski town officials ask for community feedback amid search for new police chief

New River Valley News

PULASKI, Va. (WFXR) — Since Police Chief Gary Roche will be retiring from the Pulaski Police Department on June 1, town officials are asking for input from the community to help them in the recruitment process for a new police chief.

The Town of Pulaski is asking residents to share their thoughts on the following questions:

  • What type of professional experience should our next Police Chief have?
  • What personal qualities should he or she possess?
  • What issues do you think our next Police Chief should have at the top of their list to address, and how can we enhance our Police Department’s ability to better serve the community?

If you’d like to let town officials know what you think, send your comments to Town Manager Darlene Burcham by emailing her at dburcham@pulaskitown.org or by mailing them to P.O. Box 660, Pulaski, VA 24301.

The deadline for submitting comments is Friday, April 30.
