PULASKI, Va. (WFXR) — Police in Pulaski arrested a local resident on Friday in connection with more than a dozen property damage incidents involving the use of a BB gun.

On Friday, Feb. 26, the Pulaski Police Department announced 30-year-old Whitney Cecil of Pulaski, was charged and arrested in connection with 13 BB-gun-related property damage incidents that occurred throughout the town.

Police say approximately 17 incidents were reported in Pulaski from November 2020 through February 2021.

On Tuesday, Feb. 23, the department announced Sgt. S.J. Grim and Cpl. C.J. Dickerson were able to locate a suspect — later identified as Cecil — in connection with the incidents.

Authorities say they conducted a search warrant at Cecil’s residence and recovered evidence. However, Cecil reportedly cooperated with law enforcement.

According to the department, Cecil was charged with eight counts of misdemeanor property damage, five counts of felony property damage, and one felony count of maliciously throwing/shooting a missile at an occupied vehicle.

Cecil was released on an unsecured bond, but officials say additional charges are pending.
