PULASKI, Va. (WFXR) — The Pulaski Police Department is asking the public for help in an animal abuse investigation after authorities found a dog trapped inside a dumpster on March 31st.
Around 11:05 a.m. on Friday, Pulaski County Animal Control arrived at Ollie’s shopping center, off Peppers Ferry Road and Memorial Drive, after receiving a call that barking noises were coming from inside a dumpster.
Upon searching the dumpster, they discovered a small dog trapped inside a bucket with the lid fully sealed. The dog’s legs were taped together, allowing no room for it to move or breathe. Pulaski Police Department Criminal Investigations Division was called to the scene to assist in the case.
Pulaski County Animal Control is continuing to care for the dog; adoption will not be offered at this time.
