UPDATE: Pulaski County crash cleared from Route 683 Monday morning

UPDATE 11:41 a.m.: VDOT removed the icon for Monday morning’s vehicle crash and the resulting road closure along Route 683 in Pulaski County from the 511 online traffic crash, indicating the scene has been cleared.

PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Motorists in Pulaski County can expect some delays Monday morning because of a vehicle crash closing down Route 683 (Alexander Road).

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) says all eastbound and westbound lanes are closed along Route 683 near Cleburne Boulevard and VA-100 North.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office tells WFXR News the crash occurred shortly after 5 a.m. on Monday, May 17, but the closure on Alexander Road is expected to last several hours.

VDOT has yet to provide an estimate of the backups resulting from this crash.
