PULASKI, Va. (WFXR) — The Pulaski Police Department wants to warn people of a scam that is circulating through the community.

Police say the scammer will call saying they are one of the television service providers and that the receivers need to be checked. They will then ask for personal information and what times the victims will be home.

Authorities want to remind people to never give out their personal information or let someone know when you will or won’t be home. If you do receive a call, make sure to call your service provider and ask if them if they had called.
