UPDATE 4:15 p.m. (11/23/21): Police in Galax says one of the two missing adults has been located.
Carolyn Shumate was safely located on Tuesday. No other information about her disappearance has been released.
Bobby Ray Neal, 36, is still reported as missing.

UPDATE 1:29 p.m. (11/23/21): WFXR News is learning more about the missing 36-year-old man from Galax, Bobby Ray Neal.
According to the AWARE Foundation, Neal was last seen on Friday, Nov. 19 in Galax. Neal is described as having tattoos on both arms, chest, and left hand.
The AWARE Foundation states that Neal could be driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, Dark Grey with a Virginia license plate 4358XH.
The AWARE Foundation releasing new information about the 43-year-old woman who has gone missing. According to the foundation, Carolyn D. Shumate was last seen on Monday, Nov. 22 in Galax. Shumate was described to have a tattoo on her calf and ankle.

GALAX, Va. (WFXR) — The Galax Police Department asked for the public’s help on Monday to find two missing people from Galax.
Police say they are searching for 36-year-old Bobby Ray Neal, and 43-year-old Carolyn D. Shumate.
According to officials, Neal was last seen on Thursday, Nov. 18. and there is no date when Shumate was last seen.
