PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A petition is now circulating that is calling out national union representatives saying that there are still concerns after Volvo and the United Auto Workers agreed to a new six-year contract that would cover nearly 3,000 employees at the Dublin plant.
Some of those concerns include health insurance and an alternative workweek.
Some members are now taking action with a petition in hopes of collecting signatures before the union’s official vote on the contract which is slated for June 2.
In the petition, members say their concerns are being ignored during the course of the negotiations.
Members are also calling for union representatives to resign.
WFXR News reached out to the union for a comment regarding the petition, but a union representative says they cannot comment until an official contract has been drafted and signed.
