One man shot, another captured, a third missing in incident in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed one man was shot, another was taken into custody, and a third has gone missing in an incident that took place on Saturday.

According to authorities, 45-year-old Damon Keith Taylor of Ivanhoe, was shot during a fight in the Ivanhoe area on Saturday, July 24. He was taken from the scene to receive medical attention for injuries he sustained in the incident.

With some assistance from the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, and Virginia State Police, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says 32-year-old Bobbi Lashell Lineberry of Fries — who reportedly was involved in the incident — was apprehended.

A second man, 49-year-old Danny Shane Williams of Fries, is still being sought by the sheriff’s office as of Sunday, July 25.

Authorities say the Wythe County Tac Team was on-scene the clear a location where they thought Williams might have been. Their efforts to apprehend him were not successful.

Deputies believe this was an isolated incident between those individuals, saying there is no immediate danger to the community.
