One eastbound lane reopens along Route 460 in Giles County after mudslide

New River Valley News

GILES COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — One lane of Route 460 in Giles County has been reopened on Wednesday after a mudslide over the weekend shut down the road.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the eastbound left lane and left shoulder are still closed, along with all westbound lanes north of Rich Creek.

A detour is still in place for westbound traffic. All tractor-trailer traffic will need to continue to use VA-61. Local traffic will still need to access Lurich Road around the westbound closure.
