PEMBROKE, Va. (WFXR) — It’s highly likely that pretty much every newly engaged couple is familiar with the popular wedding-planning website The Knot.
Did you know that The Knot gives out a Best of Weddings award every year for the best wedding venues and professionals across the country?
Well, easy answer, yes they do, and one of the recipients for the upcoming year is Mountain Lake Lodge in Giles County. The mountain getaway has won the award before, but it has been a few years.
According to Lyndsi Hale, the lodge’s Director of Sales and Catering, to qualify, a venue/professional must have at least ten five-star reviews on The Knot from couples who have directly received services from that person/location.
Venues alone numbered around 6,000, and the award only picks the top 5%, making Mountain Lake Lodge one of only a handful of venues across the entire U.S. to accept the award.
Hale says the resort is blessed to receive the award, once again, and attributes the accomplishment to the staff’s resourcefulness in adapting to the coronavirus pandemic and being able to still provide an unforgettable wedding experience for those who visit.
“Ultimately, their (the couples’) guests know that they have peace of mind when they have an event at Mountain Lake Lodge, that we’re here to answer any questions you may have, but ultimately to make sure that you have a safe and beautiful experience,” Hale said.
Mountain Lake Lodge is currently preparing for Christmas and New Years.
Groups or couples looking for dinner reservations can place them on Mountain Lake Lodge’s website.
If you’re uneasy about COVID-19 but would still like to support Mountain Lake Lodge, they offer curbside pickup, as well.
