WYTHEVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Members of the Claytor Lake Drug Task Force were able to seize multiple illegal narcotics while searching a Wytheville home last month.
According to Virginia State Police (VSP), the search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation, which led special agents to the 400 block of Spiller Street on June 15.
Authorities say the task force seized more than 90 fentanyl pills, as well as methamphetamine and a white powdery substance that is undergoing tests to determine if it is fentanyl.
In addition, the task force notified the Department of Social Services about a 10-year-old boy found inside the house at the time of the drug bust.
VSP says this investigation is ongoing and multiple charges are pending.
The Claytor Lake Drug Task Force is made up of investigators from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, the Pulaski Police Department, and VSP.
