RADFORD, Va. (WFXR) — Radford University is leveling up on National Video Game Day! The university has new add-on content as gamers compete in PVP (player against other players) against their fellow students in a new Esports center.
The new state-of-the-art center will house the university’s largest club — Radford Esports and Gaming — with nearly 100 gamers, according to a Facebook post from the university.
The center — which will be located at Cook Hall — will be part of Radford’s Esports program that will provide skills students can take into a demanding industry. Students will learn coaching, tournament organization, media creation, brand development, competitive play, and event management.
There are several teams that students can play on including Valorant, Rocket League, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, FIFA, and NBA 2K.
You can learn more about the Esports center by checking out the Radford Univesity website.
