GALAX, Va. (WFXR) — A garage — as well as some of its contents — were ruled a total loss following a structure fire in Galax Tuesday evening.
According to the Galax Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched to a structure fire at 309 Taylorwood Road at 6:21 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
When units arrived at the scene, the department says they found a detached garage fully involved in flames.
First responders reportedly managed to protect the exposure while also attacking the primary structure in a quick fashion.
However, fire officials say the garage — as well as a vehicle and a mower that were inside — were ruled a total loss.
