Free concert series in Radford’s Bisset Park kicks off Tuesday with Kat Mills

RADFORD, Va. (WFXR) — Radford music lovers, rejoice! Bisset Park will kick off its 2021 free concert series on Tuesday night, providing a source of relaxation and entertainment on a weekly basis for the next month.

The 2021 free concert series will start with Kat Mills, a singer-songwriter and activist based in Blacksburg who is known around the region for her down-to-earth style and powerful voice. Mills will perform from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29 at the Gazebo at Bisset Park.

Radford Parks and Recreation says the other performers scheduled to play over the course of the summer are listed below:

  • July 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. — American Roots
  • July 13 from 7 to 8 p.m. — Simple Gifts of the Blue Ridge
  • July 20 from 7 to 8 p.m. — String Theory
  • July 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. — Cadillac Ranch Band

Both admission and parking around the gazebo are free. You are not only encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair, but also to be ready to sing along to the music.
