BLACKSBURG. Va. (WFXR) – The Blacksburg Fork and Cork festival is returning after two years of being canceled due to the pandemic.

The festival — which will mark its 12th year — will feature award-winning Virginia wines, food trucks, live music, and a variety of unique merchandise.

“We are so excited for the return of Blacksburg Fork & Cork! This festival has a dedicated following,
and Historic Smithfield offers a beautiful new environment for festival-goers. We are thrilled to be able
to feature Virginia wines, regional food vendors, and local specialty products. We are hopeful that it
will be a gorgeous spring day for attendees to enjoy live music, great food, delicious wine, and the
company of friends,” said Ann Cassell, president of The Blacksburg Partnership, the organization
hosting the event.

Folk singer/songwriter Kat Mills will kick off the festival on Saturday, April 23. Mills will perform at noon, followed by American Idol contestant and Nashville artist, Carly Moffa.

The festival will take place at the Historic Smithfield across from Virginia Tech’s campus.

Below are the ticket prices:

  • VIP (ages 21+): $75 pre-sale only, Ticket allows early access to the festival beginning at noon, Access to the VIP area, and specialty tastings that will not be available to regular ticket holders.
  • Non-Drinking VIP: $25
  • Regular Tasting Ticket (Ages 21+): $35 pre-sale, $40 at the gate. Includes access to the festival grounds, wine samplings, food trucks, festival vendors, and live music. Glasses and bottles of wine are available for purchase.
  • Non-Drinking Admission: $15 pre-sale and at the gate.
  • Children 12 and younger are free with an adult (18+).

A photo I.D. will be required for all festival-goers. You can purchase tickets by heading to the Blacksburg Fork and Cork website.

All proceeds will help the Blacksburg Partnership, a non-profit that helps with economic development and community improvement for Blacksburg.

Organizers also say that the festival is looking for 110 people to volunteer for the event. Those who sign up will get a t-shirt, access to the festival before or after their shift, and a souvenir wine glass for people 21 and older.
