First annual Sunflower Festival ready to bloom at Sinkland Farms

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Eager to enjoy the flowers and the festivities of summer? Sinkland Farms in Christiansburg is combining the two with its first annual Sunflower Festival!

The festival kicks off with early bird access on Wednesday, July 21 and will run from noon to 8 p.m. from Wednesday through Sunday, July 25; from Thursday, July 29 through Sunday, Aug. 1; and from Thursday, Aug. 5 through Sunday, Aug. 8.

With more than 175,000 flowers in bloom across eight acres of sunflower fields, Sinkland Farms will be the most picture-perfect spot of the summer!

Besides the blossoms, the next three weekends will give you plenty of chances to listen to live music, explore local art and craft vendors, try out delicious treats from the various food trucks, and enjoy fun activities around the farm.
