Feeding America, Blacksburg Police Department to hold food distribution event Friday

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Feeding America and the Blacksburg Police Department are partnering together to host a Community Mobile Food Pantry Distribution event on Friday afternoon.

The distribution event will take place at the Blacksburg High School student parking lot. Food distribution will begin at 1 p.m. and continue until 3 p.m. on Friday, June 11. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Feeding Southwest Virginia will also have their Mobile Marketplace, a mobile grocery store, on-site.

Visitors are asked to enter Bruin Lane off Price Fork Road.

All Virginia residents qualify for this event and individuals who participate in SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, and/or SSI automatically qualify to receive USDA food. Others may qualify based on income.
