Driver arrested for DUI after crashing, getting trapped in vehicle in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A Wednesday night crash in Montgomery County not only trapped the driver, but also led to a DUI arrest.

Montgomery County Emergency Services says members of the Riner Volunteer Fire Department and the Riner Volunteer Rescue Squad were dispatched to Childress Road around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, for a vehicle crash with entrapment.

First responders removed the uninjured driver from the vehicle, but the driver was later arrested for DUI, according to Montgomery County Emergency Services.
