CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — What could have been just another evening walking the family dog in the neighborhood turned into a call to 911 by a father and his young son in Montgomery County.
According to the Christiansburg Volunteer Fire Department, on Thursday, Jan. 6, Beckham and his dad spotted a blaze during their walk, prompting their call to 911.
The blaze turned out to be a contractor’s trailer on fire. Thanks to the quick thinking on behalf of the pair, firefighters were able to arrive in time to quickly extinguish the flames and prevent further damage.
Beckham and his dad stayed at the scene and watched the firefighters in action. Beckham even got to hold the fire hose at one point during the evening.
