WYTHEVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – A prized staple in Wytheville that was severely damaged by fire last month is hoping to be reopened early next year.

The Log House 1776 Restaurant caught fire on Oct. 12 and owners are hoping that diners will return once repairs are complete.

Crews have been working on the building for weeks and they say that the landmark dining establishment may reopen in late January or early February 2022.

An outpouring of support has been coming in to help restore the historic building that caused major damage to the structure.
