New River Valley News

CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Carroll County officials announced on Thursday that southwest Virginia’s last remaining burn ban has been lifted ahead of its scheduled expiration date.

According to a Facebook post from Fancy Gap District Supervisor Ronnie G. Collins — which was shared by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office — the burn ban enacted by the Carroll County Board of Supervisors was officially lifted on Tuesday, Jan. 4.

This news comes one day before the ban was set to expire on its own.
