UPDATE 1:30 p.m.: All lanes of I-77 have reopened in Carroll County after an earlier brush fire.
Traffic is reportedly moving normally around this area.
CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A brush fire along the southbound lanes of a portion of I-77 in Carroll County has shut down one lane of traffic.
According to VDOT, the brush fire is near mile marker 10 along I-77 south that has resulted in the closure of the right lane and right shoulder of the southbound lanes.
Traffic backups are increasing in this area as VDOT is saying traffic has backed up nearly two miles.
Drivers can expect delays if traveling between Hillsville and Fancy Gap.
