Bear cubs spotted up a tree in Bland County reunited with ‘momma bear’

New River Valley News

BLAND COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — When you’re a deputy on patrol, there’s rarely a shortage of surprises. That’s especially true for one deputy out of Bland County.

According to the Bland County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Sgt. Randy Dillow snapped pictures of two bear cubs up a tree on Monday, May 3 while he was out on patrol.

Mother bears often hide their cubs up trees if they sense danger and then will come back for them later.

WFXR News can confirm that those babies are back with their mom.
