9 arrested within 3 days as authorities search Giles County homes in connection with drug distribution

GILES COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Over Memorial Day weekend, Giles County deputies and investigators executed three separate search warrants on local residences in connection with narcotics distribution, leading to the arrest of nine people.

On Friday, May 28, the Giles County Sheriff’s Office says a search warrant was executed on a residence in the 3500 block of Wolf Creek Road in Narrows. Authorities ended up seizing suspected methamphetamine and unidentified pills from the residence, as well as evidence of the distribution of narcotics.

According to the sheriff’s office, Brian Keith Albert and Terri Lee Thompson were arrested in the residence; charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule I or schedule II narcotics; and committed to the New River Valley Regional Jail to be held without bond

That same day, investigators executed a search warrant a residence in the 300 block of Stockpen Road in Narrows, where they seized suspected methamphetamine, suspected heroin, unidentified pills, and evidence of the distribution of narcotics.

Following this seizure, officials say Anthony Dewayne Gautier was arrested on Saturday, May 29 and charged with one possession of a schedule I or schedule II narcotic with intent to distribute (third or subsequent offense). Gautier was reportedly brought New River Valley Regional Jail and held without bond.

Then, on Sunday May 30, authorities say they executed a search warrant in the 1200 block of Pulaski Giles Turnpike in Pearisburg and seized suspected methamphetamine, suspected heroin, suspected crack cocaine, unidentified pills, and evidence of the distribution of narcotics.

According to the sheriff’s office, the following individuals were arrested in the residence for various offenses:

  • Herbert Martin Dalton, 58, of Pearisburg: One count of possession of a schedule I or II narcotic with intent to distribute and one count of conspiracy to distribute schedule I or II narcotics.
  • Angela Leigh Lucas, 45, of Pearisburg: Two counts of possession of a schedule I or II narcotic with intent to distribute (third or subsequent offense) and one count of conspiracy to distribute schedule I or II narcotics
  • Jeffrey Wayne Miles, 55, of Pearisburg: Two counts of possession of a schedule I or II narcotic.
  • Amanda Dawn Perdue, 39, Pearisburg: One count of conspiracy to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic.
  • Christopher Thomas Pierce, 28, of Pearisburg: One count of possession of a schedule I or II narcotic.
  • Chad Lee Saunders, 42, of Pearisburg: One count of probation violation.

Lucas, Dalton, Perdue, and Saunders are reportedly being held without bond in the New River Valley Regional Jail, but Miles and Pierce were held on secured bonds.
