2,800+ Hokies to graduate Friday at Virginia Tech’s fall commencement

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Hokies will take to the stage and walk for Virginia Tech’s fall commencement on Friday.

The university says that more than 2,800 Hokies will participate in the commencement on Dect. 17 at Cassell Coliseum. The ceremony is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. and the Graduate School Ceremony is slated for 2:30 p.m.

This year Dan Maguire — entrepreneur, chief executive officer, and Virginia Tech alumnus — will deliver the keynote address a the university ceremony. During the graduate ceremony, three graduate students will share experiences and educational journeys.

The university has compiled a full list of all the undergraduate students who will be walking on Friday.

Doors will open at 9 a.m. for those attending the university ceremony and 1 p.m. for those attending the graduate ceremony. If you are attending, Virginia Tech requires masks to be worn regardless of your vaccination status for both ceremonies. If you are unable to attend there will also be a Livestream of the ceremonies on the Virginia Tech website.
