New leadership has been announced for Liberty University’s School of Education.

Dr. Deanna Keith, formerly assistant dean in the School of Education, has been appointed Interim Dean.

She will be taking the place of Dr. Heather Schoffstall who has decided to step down from her position.

Dr. Schoffstall has been with the university since 2003, and became Dean of the School of Education in 2016.

“She has been a trusted member our leadership team, and while she will continue to be part of the Liberty family in other capacities, we will miss her day-to-day contributions that have helped make the School of Education the special place it is,” said Dr. Scott Hicks, Liberty University’s Interim Provost.

Dr. Keith will begin her new role on January 1, 2019.

“Dr. Keith has done an outstanding job as assistant dean, and I am confident that she will lead the school well,” said Dr. Hicks.
