A Few Old Goats Brewery is opening in the West End.
They had their opening night on Friday and are hoping to bring more businesses to the area.
Christina Wickham and her friends decided to check out a few old goats brewery.
It’s located in Roanoke’s west end where the neighborhood seems to be changing for the better.
“And we think that the downtown is getting pushed further west and we hope to be part of that revitalization as downtown continues to move westward,” said Tom Kincaid who is one of the owners of the brewery.
Tom Kincaid one of the owners of the brewing company says he hopes more businesses will move into the area.
“When a business such as ours come in, other businesses want to come to the area to be close to where the brewery is and it ends up improving the quality of life and property values for people,” said Tom Kincaid who is one of the owners of the brewery.
“Every building that is being renovated is a good thing as far as I’m concerned. I like that they’re renovating buildings and not tearing them down and putting new ones up,” said Christina Wickham who visited the brewery.
On opening day, the bar was packed and customers say even though there are a lot of breweries in the area, they like the variety.
“I like that each one has their own personality,” said Christina Wickham who visited the brewery.
“Gives us a challenge to keep coming up with different beers and crafting different things for people to enjoy,” said Tom Kincaid who is one of the owners of the brewery.
With new breweries and new businesses coming into the area, it’s time to pour a beer and share with good friends and company.
