UPDATE 4:20 p.m.: Danville Utilities has announced power restoration has been complete.
DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – Danville Utilities report that nearly 1,000 customers are currently without power in south Danville that has taken a substation circuit offline.
Customers along South Main Street and connecting streets from Dudley Street to Gatewood Road are currently in the dark.
The outage affects the Southwyck Farms and Grove Park neighborhoods, according to Danville Utilities.
Crews are actively on-site and hope to have power restored around 6 p.m.
