More than 1,800 without power around southwest, central Virginia Wednesday morning, Appalachian Power says

(WFXR) — More than 1,800 Appalachian Power customers in southwest and central Virginia are dealing with power outages on this windy Wednesday morning.

As of 5:43 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, Appalachian Power is reporting at least 1,874 outages from the following localities:

  • Patrick County: 839 customers due to five outage cases
  • Carroll County: 655 customers due to 18 outage cases
  • Bedford County: 130 customers due to five outage cases
  • Franklin County: 126 customers due to five outage cases
  • Floyd County: 102 customers due to one outage case
  • Grayson County: 22 customers due to three outage cases
  • Amherst County: Less than five customers due to five outage cases
  • Botetourt County: Less than five customers due to one outage case
  • Henry County: Less than five customers due to one outage case
  • Montgomery County: Less than five customers due to two outage cases
