BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Deputies with the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Monday afternoon that resulted in a high-speed chase.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Route 221 in Bedford County for a traffic infraction.
The vehicle proceeded to flee at a high rate of speed and became disabled at Turkey Toe Road off Turkey Foot Road.
The individual then fled on foot and an extensive search was conducted; however, the individual was not apprehended.
The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office says the individual was identified as Dillon Greyson Webber, 20, of Lynchburg.
Webber now has warrants out for felony eluding with additional charges pending as the investigation into this matter continues.
