CONCORD, Va. (WFXR) — Firefighters helped to rescue a driver whose arm was pinned under a car after it flipped during a crash in Appomattox County.

According to the Concord Volunteer Fire Department, around 5:13 a.m. crews were called to Beckham Road for reports of a crash. When they arrived, a vehicle was found off the road overturned on its roof, with the driver’s arms pinned under.

Additional crews were called to the scene to assist and crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and remove the patient.

Firefighters said with the help of struts crews began to remove the driver from under the truck. Once their arm was free, they were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

At this time, the driver’s condition is unknown.
