Man wanted on outstanding warrants arrested and charged, second man arrested for drug possession

Two men were arrested in Boones Mill during a traffic stop. 

Deputies were conducting a saturation patrol on April 3, when they stopped Steven L. Clemmons for following too closely. 

Clemmons is wanted out of Lynchburg on multiple charges, including felony abduction and kidnapping. 

He was arrested for the following outstanding charges: 

  • Felony Abduction and Kidnapping
  • Misdemeanor Assault and Battery of Family Member
  • Contempt of Court

Noah E. Long, a passenger in the vehicle, was also arrested for possession of cocaine. 

Clemmons is being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Bedford. Long was released the following day on a $2,500 secured bond.
