LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Lynchburg Police Department’s beloved K-9 Knox turned four-years-old on Thursday.

“He is a valued member of the LPD who has assisted in several arrests and was named the January Officer of the Month along with his handler Officer Reed!” stated a post on the department’s Facebook page.

According to the department, Knox spent the day in training and “of course playtime.”

“We wish him a very happy birthday, full of treats, and [we] are grateful for all his hard work every shift he works,” police said.
