Lynchburg police make arrest in last week’s stabbing incident

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Police in Lynchburg have made an arrest in an incident involving a stabbing that took place last week.

On Sunday, Aug. 30, officers located Steve Earnest Wade, Jr., 47 of Lynchburg and took him into custody.

Wade is being charged with one count of malicious wounding.

Police say the stabbing took place early Thursday morning, Aug. 27 at the 1900 block of Easley Avenue.

The investigation into this situation is ongoing.
