Some officers from the Lynchburg Police department have returned back to their regular duties after working at the Inauguration.
The officers went to Washington D.C. last week to help with crowd control for the Inauguration Parade.
Officers say it was a great experience being able to talk with people from all over the country.
Every year officers from across the U.S. come to help serve and protect at the Inauguration and consider it a privilege.
“The officers that you meet, a lot of them bring patches or coins to trade with other officers. To be able to go up there and like I said just to have a small part with all the other officers. I view it as something that is important. It is something that we count as a privilege,” said Sgt. Bryan Williams, Lynchburg Police Department.
The officers say they would love to go to serve at the next one, no matter who the president is.
