Wagging tails and wine: Horse and Hound Festival returns to Bedford County

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Horse and Hound Wine Festival is returning to Bedford County on Saturday, featuring some of Virginia’s finest wineries; live music; and arts, crafts, and food vendors!

The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 at the Peaks of Otter Winery in Bedford.

Part of the proceeds from the Horse and Hound Wine Festival will go toward local dog and horse nonprofits, such as All American Mutt Rescue, Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue, and Commonwealth Search and Rescue.

However, dogs and children under age 12 will get into the festival for free. Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital will also provide free bottled water to keep all human and canine guests hydrated.

The wine will be provided by Peaks of Otter Winery, Homeplace Vineyard, Rebec Vineyards, AmRhein Wine Cellars, and Lake Anna Winery.

Meanwhile, food will be available from Porter House Catering, Dan’s Ice Cream and Food, Eastern Star Catering, Homestead Creamery, Inc, El Cabritos Monaghan, Crabdaddy’s, and Brother Jake’s Brick Oven Creations.
