LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Parents looking to get their kids into sports can make sure their child is in tip-top shape with a free sports physical on Saturday.

Virginia Amateur Sports and Centra Health are working together to host a sports and education clinic for middle school and high school kids in Lynchburg.

“If we can encourage and inspire our children and youth to try a new sport, join a school team, or make healthy choices, we can make a difference in their lives and the community,” said Diane Williams, Marketing Director for Virginia Amateur Sports.

Health experts will be on-site for physicals starting at 10 a.m. There will also be soccer skills training and a health and wellness component, which starts at 11 a.m.

If you are interested in attending, you can sign up on the Virginia Amateur Sports website. The clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on May 14 at the Jubilee Family Development Center at 1512 Florida Avenue in Lynchburg.
