Vehicle crashes into mobile home, catches fire in Moneta

UPDATE 8:15 p.m.: The Moneta Volunteer Fire Department has released information about Sunday’s incident where a vehicle crashed into a mobile home.

According to the department, firefighters responded to the scene just after 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 23 to find one vehicle crashed into a mobile home.

At that time, the incident was upgraded to a working fire.

They say no one was injured in the crash, the cause of which is still under investigation.


MONETA, Va. (WFXR) – A vehicle crashed into a mobile home Sunday afternoon in Moneta.

A WFXR News viewer sent in a picture and video of the incident.

Mickey Johnson says the vehicle ran off the road, down an embankment and into a mobile home.

The incident happened at the Ramsey Mobile Home Park in the Diamond Hill area.

The image and attached video shows the car on fire as well as the side of the mobile home which was burning as well.

WFXR News has reached out to fire personnel for an update but have yet to hear back.
