BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Two people were brought to the hospital after a Bedford County crash left them trapped in a car Thursday afternoon.

The Bedford Fire Department posted on Facebook on Thursday, July 15 that crews were called to the intersection of West Lynchburg Salem Turnpike and Nester Road just before 3:30 p.m. to help Montvale firefighters with a crash with double entrapment.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they worked to remove the two occupants from a heavily damaged sedan, according to the department.

Fire officials say both patients were brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There is no word on their condition at this time.
