Two early morning incidents at Big Horn Market in Lynchburg under investigation by authorities

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Authorities in Lynchburg are investigating two early morning incidents that took place last week at the Big Horn Market on Leesville Road. 

The Lynchburg Police Department says officers responded to 612 Leesville Road at approximately 1:37 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27 for an alarm call. When police arrived at the scene, they found the front door broken with a brick.

According to the department, the security footage showed a person entering the business and stealing several items.

Authorities describe the man as being approximately 5’4″ tall; having long dark hair; and wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and green gloves at the time of the burglary. 

Then, shortly after 3:15 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, police tell WFXR News they responded to the same location for an alarm call and discovered that someone tried to use a brick to break the front door glass again, but did not enter the business.
