Trunk or Treat kicks off in Lynchburg on Saturday

Lynchburg & Central Virginia News

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Halloween is right around the corner, and folks in Lynchburg are kicking off the holiday early this weekend.

Several Trunk or Treat events are happening throughout the city, including one at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Madison Heights.

Both kids and adults popped their trunks, brought out their lawn chairs, and spent the day eating candy.

According to Worship Minister Candace Phelps, “It’s just great to be active in your community and seeing people out and about. There’s a lot of unfamiliar faces here too, which is wonderful.”

The church didn’t have a Trunk or Treat event last year, so they’re more than pleased with the turnout on Saturday, Oct. 23.
