LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The City of Lynchburg has three upcoming road closures over the course of the month that motorists should keep in mind.
Ninth Street between Church and Main streets closed on Wednesday, July 14and will remain closed until Verizon repairs a conduit for the Krise building. This closure may cause minor delays, so detour signs will be in place. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
The 1500 block of Main Street will also close Tuesday, July 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sidewalk will be closed off and the road will reduce to one lane to allow Columbia Gas to install a new gas service. There will be minor delays. However, emergency vehicles will have access.
The last closure is the area around 4050 Fort Avenue starting Monday, July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. also to accommodate for Columbia Gas. Drivers should expect minor delays, but emergency vehicles will have access.
