LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The River Ridge Mall’s Food Hall opened up on Tuesday with three new restaurant concepts, adding on to the two national food franchises that opened next to the Food Hall last week.
According to a mall spokesperson, the Food Hall includes the following three restaurants:
- Grounded offers hand-crafted burgers that are made with fresh ingredients and grilled on an open flame. The restaurant has milkshakes, trendy sides, and a kids’ menu.
- ZaZa provides fresh, artisan pizzas with all your favorite toppings, baked in a stone fire oven.
- Mein Bowl offers global flavors and vibrant, “made-to-order” authentic Asian cuisine.
“This new contemporary Food Hall will provide diverse, best-in-class and first-in-market dining options,” said Louise Dudley, general manager at River Ridge. “We are excited to have three new restaurants for our guests to enjoy. These three new concepts have joined local favorites Farmers Garden and Chick-fil-A in the newly renovated Food Hall.”
River Ridge announced plans back in January for the creation of the new Food Hall, which includes both indoor and outdoor seating for guests, new lighting, and a redesigned entrance.
In addition, Farmers Garden recently relocated and built out a new restaurant in the Food Hall. Improvements to Chick-fil-A are also planned for spring or summer of 2022.
“Our guests will have the opportunity to enjoy these new options, as well as their local favorites, in a new, beautiful and inviting environment,” Dudley said.
This news comes after Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon opened on Friday, Oct. 15 next to the Food Hall.
