LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Lynchburg authorities are asking for the community’s help as they investigate a Sunday afternoon hit-and-run that sent a man to the hospital.

The Lynchburg Police Department says officers responded to the 2200 block of Langhorne Drive just after 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 28 for a reported hit-and-run involving a bicyclist.

According to the department, when officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been hit by a vehicle. That man was then brought to Lynchburg General Hospital.

Police say the suspect vehicle may be blue in color and possibly damaged following the incident.

Anyone who was near the CVS Pharmacy on Langhorne Road around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday and knows something about the suspect vehicle is encouraged to contact the Lynchburg Police Department.
