BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Whether you’re clearing out your desk drawers or your medicine cabinets, Bedford County authorities are ready to help with your spring cleaning efforts by holding several document-shredding and drug take-back events over the next two months.

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office — in cooperation with the Bedford Police Department, Bedford Fire/Rescue and Waste Management — will be hosting a series of events that offer document shredding and prescription drug disposal.

While these events are free, officials say they will accept donations of pet food for the Bedford Animal Shelter and canned non-perishable food for the Local Christian Ministry.
