LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – For around three weeks, starting on Monday, Aug. 23, Lynchburg Water Resources (LWR) will work with a consultant to inspect and clean sanitary sewer pipes around the city.
Work will be done during daylight hours Monday through Saturday and will include the following components:
- 15,664 linear feet of pipeline closed circuit television (CCTV) video surveillance
- 2,637 linear feet of pipeline cleaning
- 9,045 linear feet of pipeline blockage assessments using acoustic technologies
- GPS coordinate survey of 36 sewer manholes
LWR is asking that all personal vehicles and other items be removed from these sanitary sewer areas before Monday, Aug. 23.
Work will be performed in the following areas.

|Club Terrace||Landon Street||Price Street||Waverly Place|

Residents at the above locations could see field crews assessing the sewer system through manholes on or near their property. There should be no disturbance of property or impacts on traffic.
