CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office have reported that they responded to reports of a domestic assault on Tuesday, April 25.
Officers arrived at the 600 Block of Lone Jack Road around 9 p.m. They tried to talk to a male suspect, but he fled into a home and barricaded himself. Several teams responded to the incident, and after several hours of negotiations and tactical response, the 37-year-old suspect, Brenton Bryers of Rustburg, exited the home and was taken into custody.
He has since been charged with the following:
- two counts of domestic assault and battery
- two counts of abduction
- one count of brandishing a firearm
